QCUSD Increases Employee Benefits Contribution to Offset Rising Healthcare Costs

The Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) is taking proactive steps to support its employees by increasing its contribution to health benefits, ensuring that rising healthcare costs do not diminish the impact of recently approved staff raises.
In response to a nationwide surge in medical costs—projected to rise between 9-10%—QCUSD’s Governing Board has approved a 10% increase in its contribution per employee, bringing the total to $7,947 annually. This commitment translates to $662 per month toward insurance, allowing two of the district’s employee-only health plans to remain at no cost to employees.
“This increase is a direct investment in our staff,” said Governing Board President Samantha Davis. “We recognize that rising healthcare costs could have negated the well-earned raises recently approved for our employees. By increasing our contribution, we’re ensuring that our teachers, staff, and administrators truly feel the impact of those salary adjustments.”
QCUSD extends its sincere gratitude to the governing board for approving this benefits proposal, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to investing in the district’s educators and staff.
“Our people are the heart of QCUSD,” said QCUSD Superintendent Dr. Perry Berry. “This decision ensures that our employees can continue to receive strong benefits without added financial stress. We’re grateful to the governing board for recognizing the importance of this investment.”
Thank you to our dedicated staff for all you do for our students and our community!
