Transportation

The Transportation Department is dedicated to providing safe, cost effective transportation services for our Queen Creek families and community. Our fleet consists of 113 buses ranging from 14 passenger to 84 passenger capacity. Throughout the school year, we transport students to and from 14 district schools and six schools beyond the district boundaries. This includes mainstream, special education, Mckinney/Vento, curricular field trips, athletics, and community events.

Student safety is paramount as we strive to continuously support the educational process. Our school bus drivers are thoroughly trained and highly proficient in all vehicle components and school bus operations. Our fleet maintenance staff work diligently to care for our fleet, ensuring our buses are safe, operational, and compliant. Our office staff is focused on customer service responsiveness and proactive to our district and community needs.

We are available from 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. You may contact us at (480) 987-5982.

"Here Comes the Bus" App for Parents

The “Here Comes the Bus” app provides QCUSD families whose students are registered to ride the bus with real-time alerts including bus number, location, and time of arrival during both morning and afternoon transportation services. The following is information bus-riding families need to know in order to use “Here Comes the Bus”:

Make sure your student has been registered for the bus, without registration completed they will not have access to the app. Ensure that your student has a bus pass with them when they board the bus in the morning and afternoon. All junior high and high school students will not receive bus passes. These students will utilize their student identification cards with bar codes assigned by the school of attendance. Please email us at routing@qcusd.org for all bus pass requests and information. Please include the student's name, grade level, and school of attendance. Bus drivers will distribute bus passes to the appropriate students.

Download the free “Here Comes the Bus” app. The app is available for iPhones and Androids. Search “Here Comes the Bus” in your app store. Once you have downloaded the free app, create a profile with an email address you check often and set a password for your account.

Add your bus-riding student to your profile by entering the ID found on the student’s bus pass (or check with the school of attendance) and the school code 29294. The school code is the same for all QCUSD schools. If you have multiple students riding the bus, follow this step for each student.

Once your “Here Comes the Bus” profile is active, you will begin to receive emails regarding the status of your student’s bus. You can also receive this information via text by adjusting your app settings.

For further assistance, questions, and/or requests regarding “Here Comes the Bus”, please email the Transportation Department at routing@qcusd.org Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Outside Boundaries Bus Request

Students who reside outside of school or district boundaries can request to utilize an existing route and stop permitting there is space. We ask that families complete our outside boundaries bus request form so we can monitor the requests of families and place those as soon as space permits. Families will receive a notification with bus information when their student has been placed and are eligible to ride.
