QCUSD Students Appointed to Mayor’s Teen Advisory Committee

Group of QCUSD students appointed to the Mayor's Teen Advisory Committee

Several QCUSD students, Gabrielle C. (CHS), Christabel E. (QCHS), Madilyn F. (QCHS), and Dilyn W. (QCHS), were appointed to the Mayor’s Teen Advisory Committee (M-TAC). The M-TAC selects students based on their dedication to the community, drive to create positive change and skill in engaging their peers.

M-TAC representatives serve for one year and ensure that the youth of Queen Creek are heard. This experience also offers students the opportunity to learn how local governments operate, while gaining valuable lessons and developing leadership skills through their work on the committee. The goal of the M-TAC is to empower youth in the community, promote civic responsibility, and give students a chance to contribute to policy decisions.

QCUSD is honored to have four students selected by Mayor Julia Wheatley. The Queen Creek community is what allows QCUSD students to excel academically and in character. Programs like the M-TAC provide real-life experiences that prepare students for success beyond high school.
