Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) is less than a month away from welcoming in a new school year, and there is plenty to look forward to for students, parents and staff. The 2024–2025 school year welcomes 15,000 students to our 14 schools, with an additional elementary school under construction.

Newell Barney College Prep (NBCP) will enter its first year as a college preparatory school, offering the students who attend a chance to earn up to 4 high school credits while in junior high! NBCP is focused on leadership development, STEM classes, and an accelerated curriculum, aiming to give students an environment where they are able to excel.

This school year, QCUSD will celebrate an expanded group of its graduating seniors with Crismon High School’s (CHS) first-ever graduating class. CHS, which opened in July 2022, will now proudly send off those students who began their journey there.

Mountain Trail Academy, QCUSD’s 10th elementary school, is now under construction and is set to open for the  2025–2026 school year. The school facilities division has provided funding and land for this construction project due to the continued growth within QCUSD.

Students can look forward to their career and technical education (CTE) classes that are tailored to the student’s specific career field of interest.

Students have the opportunity to engage in participatory budgets through the Lead out Loud (LOL) program. Each school is allocated funds and students vote on how the funds should be spent. LOL encourages leadership and finance skills, and is kicked off with a huge conference at the beginning of the school year.

Parents, students, teachers, and staff can all look forward to the musicals put on by our talented performers! High schools will present musicals at the end of every 2nd and 4th quarter. Follow QCHS, CHS, and EHS to see what musicals they will perform this year.

The 2024–2025 school year will be filled with exciting opportunities for students, parents, and staff. Make sure to stay updated with the district and your student(s) schools to be on top of all QCUSD has to offer by following QCUSD and relevant schools on social media.
