The Queen Creek Unified School District dedicates ourselves to developing critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills students need to be successful in today’s technology driven world. This begins with highly qualified teachers and a rigorous curriculum that aligns with the Arizona College and Career Ready Standards. We support our teachers through cognitive coaching and professional development so that they stay current on mathematical strategies to guide students in their mathematical thinking.

In QCUSD math classrooms, students are engaged in hands-on learning activities that encourage collaborative discussions about strategies for solving math problems. In order to meet the individual needs of our students, teachers collect and analyze data to monitor students’ progress using the mastery learning model.

At the junior high school level, students have the opportunity to earn high school credit by meeting the requirements of algebra I coursework. In addition, our high school students can earn college credit through our dual enrollment and AP courses.
