New Bus Driver Bonus and Referral Program

QCUSD commits to providing quality education to our students, and that starts and ends each day with the vital role school bus drivers have in transporting students to and from school. In order to achieve this commitment, new bus driver hires are eligible for a hiring bonus based on the criteria below.
Bus Driver New Hire Bonus
- Commercial Driver’s License* (CDL) and Passenger & School Bus* (P&S) Endorsements Bonus – $2,500 in three disbursements:
- $1000 after successfully completing training and cleared to drive an assigned route
- $750 five months after hiring date or end of school year, whichever comes first
- $750 end of September of the following school year
- Commercial Drivers License* Bonus – $2,000 in three disbursements:
- $750 after successfully completing training and cleared to drive an assigned route
- $750 five months after hiring date or end of school year, whichever comes first
- $500 end of September of the following school year
- No Commercial Drivers License Bonus – $1,500 in three disbursements:
- $500 after successfully completing training and cleared to drive an assigned route
- $500 five months after hiring date or the end of the school year, whichever comes first
- $500 end of September of the following school year
*New bus drivers must have license and endorsements at time of hire to qualify.
Terms and Conditions:
In order to be eligible for the bonus, bus drivers must be new employees to Queen Creek Unified School District for the 2022–2023 school year effective October 18, 2022. Bus drivers must be continuously employed through September 30 of the following year in order to receive all bonus disbursements. If the district terminates an employee due to performance, attendance or behavior matters, the district will not award an incentive bonus. The incentive bonus is discretionary. QCUSD reserves the right to modify or change these guidelines at any time.
Bus Driver New Hire Referral Stipend for QCUSD Employees
- Commercial Driver’s License* (CDL) and Passenger & School Bus* (P&S) Endorsements Referral – $2,000 in three disbursements:
- $750 when driver clears through training to drive an assigned route
- $750 five months after hiring date or the end of the school year, whichever comes first
- $500 end of September of the following school year
- Commercial Drivers License* Referral – $1,500 in three disbursements:
- $500 when driver clears through training to drive an assigned route
- $500 five months after hiring date or the end of the school year, whichever comes first
- $500 end of September of the following school year
- No Commercial Drivers License Referral – $500 in three disbursements:
- $200 when driver clears through training to drive an assigned route
- $200 five months after hiring date or the end of the school year, whichever comes first
- $100 end of September of the following school year
