Kindergarten at Queen Creek Unified School District: A Great Place to Start!

Starting school is a big step—and at Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD), we’re here to make that first step a great one! We believe kindergarten is an important foundation for both academic and personal growth, and we’re proud to offer programs that support every learner.

QCUSD offers free, full-day kindergarten at all nine—soon to be ten!—of our elementary schools. We also have half-day options available at most campuses, giving families the flexibility to choose what works best for them. Whether full-day or half-day, our programs focus on building essential skills through hands-on learning, creativity, and social-emotional development.

In kindergarten, students dive into exciting lessons in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. They also get to enjoy music, physical education, and fun before and after-school enrichment activities. We even introduce our youngest learners to college and career exploration—because it’s never too early to dream big!

Our certified teachers are experts in early childhood education, and they’re passionate about helping young learners grow. They create warm, welcoming classrooms where students can explore, make friends, and build confidence through play, discovery, and collaboration.

At QCUSD, we value school choice and family involvement. No matter which program you choose, you can feel confident knowing your child is getting a high-quality start in a caring, supportive environment. We can’t wait to welcome your kindergartner into the QCUSD family!
