Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) proudly celebrates Allie Skafi, Eastmark Junior High School teacher, who was recently recognized as the Husband and Wife Law Team Teacher of the Month for October. In an exciting ceremony, Allie received this recognition surrounded by 170 of her students and staff, making the moment even more meaningful.

Reflecting on the experience, Allie described it as “really special” and “surprising,” noting how memorable it was to be recognized alongside her students. This award includes a financial grant that Allie will invest directly into her classroom. “I have a lot of different curriculum ideas that I’ve been bookmarking,” she shared.

Now in her fourth year at Eastmark Junior High, Allie appreciates the close-knit community that the school has created. “The people here—it’s a family,” she said. “The adults and the kids make every day a different day, but a fun day.” She wants her students to see learning as enjoyable and interactive rather than a routine of note-taking.

Allie’s students often leave her class with more than just knowledge of social studies. She hopes to instill in them the values of kindness, empathy, and the joy of learning. This year, she is especially proud of her students’ compassion and their willingness to work together, which she finds inspiring.

As a seasoned educator who joined Eastmark in its early years, Allie has watched the school grow, evolve, and thrive. QCUSD congratulates her on this well-deserved award and celebrates her dedication, compassion, and impact on the school community.
