Future Business Leaders In Tucson SLC!

From Mrs. Tapia, FBLA Advisor.

The Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the Arizona State Leadership Conference at the Tucson Convention Center from April 1 to 3, 2025. Crismon High School was honored as a Platinum Chapter and had thirteen students competing against nineteen hundred students from all over Arizona.

We enjoyed fun bonding and networking activities like games, Battle of the Chapters, and even had Isabella Merdick-Lopez guest star in the Hypnotist Show. Our team enjoyed an online scavenger hunt called Goosechase with Charles Stevens, Jada Beasley, and Alayna Robinson taking fourth place in the state. This required participation in events, teamwork with other schools, and various networking activities.

Students attended business workshops, visited state officer candidate booths, met with colleges, and learned about workplace skills from vendors and guest speakers. Most importantly, our students competed in various individual, team, and chapter events, including presentations and role plays.

We brought home the following Arizona team awards with our Graphic Design 1 students:

First place in Chapter Sign - Originally created by Jacob Kalinowski (who was unable to attend) and upgraded by Sebastian Mattson and John McLaws. Our sign transformed from the traditional rattlesnake mascot to a transformer with our team members' names and group photo.

Fourth place in Chapter Scrapbook - Digitally designed by Desiree Bobo (who was unable to attend), Jada Beasley, and Alayna Robinson, editing by Isabella Merdick-Lopez.

We earned…

Third place in Partnership with Business (Chapter Event), presented by Kamya McNeal and Isabella Merdick Lopez, with help from Taegan Adams, earning nationals invitations.

Students with nationals invitations will now move on to compete in Anaheim, California, from June 27 through July 3, 2025, as Arizona Delegates with students from around the country and even international FBLA members from Canada or as far away as China. What an honor.

Congratulations to all the students for their motivation, preparation, studying, and execution of their presentations. They represented Crismon High School with outstanding business skills and professionalism. Way to go!
