To help prepare sixth graders for the transition to middle school, Eastmark High School (EHS) hosted a student-led Flying with the Firebirds event. Attended by QCUSD northern schools, the event allowed incoming students to tour EHS, make connections, and experience all that the school has to offer.
Students were welcomed to campus by the EHS Band, kicking off the morning with energy and excitement. They were then placed into groups and guided around campus by EHS student leaders, who showcased the school and led bonding activities.
Events like this help prepare sixth graders for their next steps while giving them the opportunity to build connections before the first day of school.
