QCUSD Business Partner Breakfast: Building Connections, Strengthening Partnerships

Last week, Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) hosted its quarterly business partner breakfast, bringing together local business leaders and educators to collaborate and strengthen ties within the community. This event serves as a platform for networking, sharing resources, and discussing opportunities to enhance student success.
One attendee, Naomi Murrietta, coalition coordinator for the Southeast Valley Community Alliance, shared that the event was a meaningful opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for community well-being. "Our youth are going through a lot right now, along with families. By working together, we can provide resources and events that help parents and youth make better decisions about their health and wellness."
Murrietta emphasized the importance of events like this, ”The business partner breakfast allows us to meet like-minded individuals and organizations who can collaborate with us in these efforts. QCUSD has so many amazing students who want to make a difference, and we love working with them to create positive change."
Shauna Scheffner, director of the professional education program at Northern Arizona University's (NAU) College of Education, shared her thoughts on the importance of partnership. "Partnering with QCUSD is a great opportunity for us because our program is dedicated to preparing high-quality educators in Arizona," she said. "We want to encourage students in QCUSD to consider careers in education, and by fostering these connections early, we can create a strong pipeline of future teachers."
For Cash Hart of Arizona Furnishings, the business partner breakfast was a lively event that showcased the district’s talented students. "The breakfast is wonderful, but my favorite part is seeing what QCUSD students are doing," he said. "This morning, we saw an amazing performance, and I can't wait to see what they accomplish in the future. It's exactly why we're here—to support their growth and success."
Hart emphasized that Arizona Furnishings operates on four pillars: quality, value, service, and integrity. "We want to give back to the community in a way that aligns with those values," he said. "This event is also a great way to meet other business partners and find ways to help each other. Sometimes, I meet someone who has a need I can’t fulfill, but I can connect them with someone who can. That’s what makes this event so special—it’s all about collaboration."
The QCUSD business partner breakfast continues to be a vital event for creating relationships between local businesses and the district, ultimately benefiting students and the wider community. As Murrietta summed up, "By working together, we can create a brighter future for our youth."
