Dr. Perry Berry Receives Hometown Hero “Trailblazer” Award

Dr. Perry Berry, Superintendent of Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD), was recently honored with the Hometown Heroes "Trailblazer" Award from the Queen Creek Independent. This award recognizes Dr. Berry’s exceptional leadership in our school district. With over a decade of service in Queen Creek, Dr. Berry has helped shape the district as it continues to grow.

The Hometown Heroes Awards celebrate local individuals and businesses who make a difference in the Queen Creek community. Dr. Berry has played a significant role in shaping the future of the community’s youth, as he “feels a strong responsibility to make sure his students are prepared and succeed in their lives after they graduate.”

Dr. Berry was recognized not only for his contributions to education but also for his work in connecting district leaders with community organizers and stakeholders. He recently received the Changemaker Award for his efforts with School Connect, a nonprofit organization that bridges schools with community resources and opportunities.

Dr. Berry advises young people to focus on serving others and making a positive difference in their community. He credits much of his success to his family, mentors, and coaches, whose guidance has helped him become a driving force in Queen Creek’s growth and success.
