What is Queen Creek Schools Education Foundation (QCSEF)?

The Queen Creek Schools Education Foundation (QCSEF) plays a vital role in supporting education by working closely with local businesses and the community. Focused on promoting academic excellence, QCSEF provides financial assistance through grants and scholarships, creating opportunities for both students and teachers. QCSEF secures funding for its scholarships and grants through a combination of community fundraisers and business partnerships. Events like the annual softball tournament generate substantial support, enabling QCSEF to provide financial assistance to graduating seniors from all high schools in the district. 

These scholarships often make a life-changing difference, covering expenses like tuition and textbooks for students who might not otherwise afford them. Each spring, scholarship recipients are surprised in their classrooms with the announcement, which brings heartfelt moments filled with gratitude.

The foundation's secretary, Quincy Nelson, proclaims that she loves being a part of the foundation because  “it is amazing to be a part of something that gives students opportunities to pursue their passions after graduation. When we can be a small part of their post-secondary education and success it is a great feeling!”

Matthew Boylan from Orcutt-Winslow, a QCUSD partner, states that “Public schools offer so much to students. Queen Creek [USD] especially has CTE programs and business partnerships. We're teaching a class at Crismon High School, and that's our company’s future. So, you know, helping these students out, raising money, making schools better is only going to help all of our futures.”
