Partnering with Queen Creek Unified School District

QCUSD community partners meeting

We are excited to welcome more than 14,000 students to our growing district for the 2023–2024 school year. Queen Creek is the seventh fastest-growing city in the country, and as our enrollment continues to increase, so does the value of partnerships in providing resources and collaborative initiatives that result in positive outcomes for our students.

Through partnerships with nonprofits, volunteers, businesses, and educational organizations, we have accomplished countless joint efforts that provide for students and the community. Volunteers have donated or completed projects like shade structures, benches, and gardens that enhance our existing campuses. Business partners have donated funding for supplies, scholarships, and their valuable time in providing first-hand experience to our students through career exploration programs. These partnerships help us provide our students with the best tools and experiences as we continue to create space for our growing enrollment.

Here are some of the ways we invite organizations to partner with us:

  • CAFE: Our quarterly community and family engagement events bring together volunteers, faith leaders, and local businesses to plan improvements to our schools and develop relationships with our principals. Our first CAFE will be on September 21.
  • Love Our Schools Day: On October 21 volunteer groups will spend a day beautifying campuses or constructing much needed improvements like gardens, fresh paint, or shaded benches. CAFE brings these groups together to plan, and Love Our Schools Day puts those plans into actions that benefit our students and strengthen our community.
  • Business Partner Breakfasts: Queen Creek Unified School District’s District Office hosts business partner breakfasts to connect business leaders with school administrators to share ideas and establish relationships that have led to everything from teacher appreciation grants to workforce internship opportunities. Our first business partner breakfast will be on August 17.
  • Career Panels: During career week in the spring, we invite business leaders from a variety of industries to speak about their specialties. During these events, we match industries with our secondary students seeking to learn about those careers. This can lead to development opportunities and future employee recruitment.
  • Interfaith Luncheons: Our community’s faith groups are welcome to attend interfaith luncheons to share partnership ideas and match service opportunities with the needs of both our students and the community.

When community members partner with local schools, everyone wins. We look forward to working with our partners this year to empower students and enhance educational outcomes for a brighter future. For more information, visit our website.
