Frances Brandon Pickett Elementary Holds 15th Annual Dodgeball Game

It is a beloved tradition at Frances Brandon-Pickett Elementary (FBPE). Every year, students, teachers, and guardians of FBPE come together for a friendly game of dodgeball. The teachers and guardians compete against the students. This year marks the fifteenth anniversary of this tradition.

“It started as a fun, after-school sport as a way to raise money for the school,” said Coach Brian Webster, “and now it has turned into a great event for the parents to come and have a ton of fun.”

This year’s game of dodgeball had over one hundred adults and students participating. Jaxson Webster, who is the son of Coach Webster, was a student at FBPE when he first participated in the traditional dodgeball game. Now, he is playing on the side of the adults.

“The first time I played I was four and now I am twenty,” said Jaxson. “It’s fun to come back every year and see the kids and play the game with them.”
