In QCUSD, enhancing and celebrating student success is one of our top priorities. We ensure student success by focusing on the following:
Inspiring all students to meet or exceed annual, individual, and academic goals
- Advanced Placement classes, Enhanced Learning Programs, and Honors classes are offered district-wide to challenge high-performing students.
- QCUSD provides two accelerated schools of choice, Katherine Mecham Barney Elementary and Newell Barney College Prep.
- QCUSD students outperformed state standards in all areas during the 2025–2026 School Year.
- QCUSD scored 55% for Student Proficiency in ELA, with the state average at 40%.
- QCUSD scored 50% for Student Proficiency in Math, with the state average at 33%.
Preparing all students for post-graduation opportunities, responsible citizenship, and competition in a global economy
- Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs offer hands-on opportunities for students to build real-world skills in high school.
- College and Career Centers at each high school with dedicated counselors provide students with resources to realize their potential.
Empowering each student with skills and tools that support being a confident, resilient, and healthy individual
- Lead Out Loud programs district-wide encourage student leadership and community service.
- Participatory Budgeting programs throughout the district encourage citizenship and teach fiscal responsibility.
- Physical Education is offered to students district-wide to ensure physical health and encourage an active lifestyle.
- Counselors are staffed at each school to provide class lessons as well as small group and individual support.
