Building Strong Community Partnerships at Queen Creek Unified School District

Community partnerships continue to play an important role in supporting students, staff, and schools across the Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD). At the recent business partner breakfast, local businesses, parent organizations, and community members came together to collaborate and find new ways to support students and schools.

For local business owner Joe from Pink’s Windows, giving back is about serving the community in meaningful ways. “At Pink’s Windows, we want to give back to the community any way we can,” he shared. “We do comp cleans for elderly residents or businesses that might not have the means to clean their windows.”

Joe explained that partnerships with schools and community organizations help businesses stay connected while making a positive impact. “We want to be part of everything the community is doing,” he said. “We want to show kids how to work hard, do what you say you’re going to do, and carry those life skills throughout life.”

Parent organizations also play a vital role in strengthening school communities. Kellie Stanek of the Faith Mather Sossaman Elementary PTO said the event highlighted the importance of collaboration between schools and local businesses.

“We like coming to these events so we can network and meet new businesses,” Stanek shared. “We always have opportunities throughout the year for local businesses to partner with us and sponsor events.”

Through fundraising and partnerships, PTOs help provide support for teachers and students, including playground equipment, shade structures, teacher appreciation events, and classroom needs.

“This was my first business partner breakfast,” Stanek said. “It was great to meet people and see how passionate the Queen Creek School District is about helping children succeed.”

By building strong relationships with businesses, families, and community members, QCUSD continues to create opportunities that benefit students both inside and outside the classroom.
