Silver Valley Elementary School has been selected as a Teacher Created Materials (TCM) Spotlight Award recipient for the 2025–2026 school year, an honor that recognizes schools making a meaningful impact on teaching and learning every day. The award celebrates campuses that go beyond expectations to create engaging lessons, strong school culture, and lasting connections with students and families.
During the presentation, Teacher Created Materials representatives shared their enthusiasm for Silver Valley and the impression the campus has made through multiple visits. “I’ve been out on the campus now. This is the fourth visit, and I’m blown away,” one representative shared. “The energy that is on this campus is amazing, and you guys are so deserving of this award.”
Teacher Created Materials, a nearly 50-year-old educational publishing company, created the Spotlight Award to highlight schools that are truly making a difference. “We want to spotlight schools that aren’t just showing up every day, but are really working hard to develop spectacular lessons, spectacular students, and are really dedicated to their craft,” said a TCM representative.
Silver Valley Elementary stood out for its strong sense of purpose and collaboration. “This is a school that leads with purpose. You believe in your students, and it shows in how much your community works together,” the presenter noted. “This recognition is a lot more about the success that isn’t just on paper. It’s about what happens every single day in your classrooms, in your hallways, and in conversations.”
TCM representatives also highlighted Silver Valley’s mission to empower students as 21st-century learners while supporting both academic and social growth. “You’ve built a learning community and an environment that really supports that,” they shared. “Just walking on this campus, I feel as if everybody here really embodies a love of learning.”
The Spotlight Award reflects the dedication, passion, and teamwork of the Silver Valley Elementary staff and community, and affirms the powerful learning environment they create for students each and every day.
