Current Construction Projects

As the fastest-growing district in Arizona, we are continually enhancing our state-of-the-art facilities to meet the needs of our community. New schools and expansions are funded through the ADOA School Facilities Division, reflecting our district’s rapid growth. Additional projects are supported by grants, partnerships, and fundraisers. Crismon High School

Crismon High School is getting a new academic wing in July 2025. This wing will bring an additional 23 classrooms to CHS.

As of 05/06/25:

  • Ceiling grid installation is complete.
  • Restroom tile installation is complete.
  • Interior painting is 90% complete.

Eastmark High School

The district qualified for new construction dollars from the ADOA Schools Facilities Division based on the growth the district continues to experience. EHS was awarded over 62,000 square feet of new student space. The image below provides an image of the new spaces that will be constructed throughout the year.

Academic Wing (blue): This academic wing will provide more instructional classrooms and attach to the wing that was just completed in July 2024. It is anticipated to add 23 additional classrooms.

Performing Arts Classrooms (orange): This building will support band, choir, dance, and other arts classes.

PE Classroom (green): This addition will add another court to our existing gym, weight room, and other PE spaces.

As of 05/06/25:

  • Expanded outdoor dining area is 50% complete.
  • Interior finishes are 80% complete.
  • Gym addition is 80% complete.
  • Student tour of construction was April 22.

Mountain Trail Academy

QCUSD is opening a new elementary school in July 2025. The school will serve kindergarten through sixth grade, featuring 90,000 square feet dedicated to a STEAM-focused curriculum, modern facilities, and flexible learning spaces.

As of 05/06/25:

  • School construction substantial completion on May 9.
  • Punch walk inspections started.
  • Furniture installation is scheduled for May 19.

Queen Creek High School

Queen Creek Unified School District (QCUSD) has received $2.7 million from Arizona’s Water Infrastructure Finance Authority to install artificial turf on Queen Creek High School’s football field, supporting water conservation. This eco-friendly upgrade will provide a durable playing surface, with installation expected next school year.

As of 04/08/25:
