The Queen Creek Schools Education Foundation (QCSEF) brought community spirit to the field during its annual softball tournament fundraiser, where QCUSD business partners traded work boots for cleats to support local classrooms. The event highlighted the strong relationships between QCUSD and the businesses that help make student success possible.
Teams sponsored by local companies came together to make a meaningful impact. For many partners, supporting QCSEF is about far more than a single event. “Investing in QCSEF is investing in the future of our community,” said Chris Sepulveda, sales representative with
Pueblo Mechanical. “When local businesses support our schools, we’re not just helping students succeed. We’re building a stronger, smarter workforce and a more connected Queen Creek.”
Sepulveda shared how special it felt to gather with the contractors, builders, and service providers who work alongside QCSEF throughout the year. “Today we’re out here enjoying some softball with a lot of the subs and contractors that work with the Queen Creek Schools Education Foundation,” he said. “I live on the east side, so it means a lot to us to be out here, support the community, and support the schools. Couldn’t have been a better day.”
For others, the tournament has become an annual tradition. Teri Ceranski, an associate estimator with Mid-State Mechanical, helped assemble her company’s team for the second year in a row. “We participated last year. We had so much fun, so we decided to do it again this year,” she said. Ceranski emphasized the value of bringing businesses together for a shared purpose. “It’s extremely important because it’s for a great cause. It’s the education of our kids. We need to help our education system here in Arizona. It’s an awesome event.”
Both Ceranski and Sepulveda echoed the same sentiment: strong schools build strong communities. “When local businesses support our schools, we’re building a stronger, smarter workforce and a more connected Queen Creek,” Ceranski said.
With teamwork and a commitment to students, the QCSEF softball tournament once again proved that supporting education can be both meaningful and fun.
