School Menus & Child Nutrition

Welcome to QCUSD’s Child Nutrition Department!

QCUSD Child NutritionWe recognize the connection between good nutrition and student success. This is why our mission is to build healthier kids by providing nutritious meals at minimum cost to families.

We prepare our menus with assistance from a registered dietitian and meet Arizona and the US National School Lunch program’s strict nutrition standards. Foods are hand selected and analyzed to ensure quality. This translates into well balanced, healthy meals that provide recommended amounts of energy and nutrients needed for optimal child development and learning.

Daily menus offer:

  • Unlimited amounts of fruit and vegetables
  • A choice of five different entrees
  • 100% juice selections
  • Low-fat white milk, and fat-free flavored milk choices
  • Whole grain foods
  • Protein rich foods
  • Foods low in saturated and trans fats

Meal Account Information

Each child has an individual account and student ID with which to purchase meals through an account set up with the cafeteria manager at your school. You can put money on the account using cash, personal check, or money order. You may also set up an account for your child online at Titan School Solutions using a Visa or MasterCard. You may use the site to check transactions, make online payments, and complete free and reduced-price meal applications.

Please be aware that we do not allow students to charge any meals. If your child forgets his or her lunch money, we will supply an alternate meal of a cheese sandwich on a whole wheat bun, fruit, and milk. Please make sure your child has money on his or her lunch card.

Free or Reduced-Price Meal Program

Your child may qualify for free or reduced breakfast and lunch. Applications are available here on this page, or at your child's school office, school cafeteria, or at the district Food Services office. If you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Breakfast Smarts

Did you know that breakfast increases your child’s brain power? Our bodies convert breakfast food into energy for use by our brain. When children skip breakfast, they must rely on the energy from their last meal to fuel their brain. Without breakfast, kids typically have a gap of 12 hours or more between dinner and lunch. This can make kids tired and restless.

A QCUSD school breakfast ensures your child starts the school day well-nourished and ready to learn. For $1.15 per day or less, your child receives whole grains, fruit, and protein. These are all the ingredients needed to fuel your child’s brain for optimal learning.

Check out the menus provided on this page for breakfast options and prices at your child’s school.
