GRADING POLICY: Points are earned by completing assignments: homework, class work, labs, quizzes, and tests. I grade on a percentage basis. I simply divide your number of total points by the actual number of total points to arrive at a percentage. This percentage is then correlated with a grade. A = 90 – 100% B = 80 – 89% C = 70 – 79% D = 60 – 69% F = 0 – 59% EXTRA CREDIT: Extra credit assignments will be given throughout each semester. Extra credit will only be accepted for those that have all of the daily work and homework assignments turned in. It will be worth no more than 10% of the total grades for the quarter. LATE WORK POLICY: Please come to class prepared. Homework will not be accepted late unless due to an excused absence. IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY TO GET ALL MAKE-UP WORK. It is your responsibility to check the daily folders. I will not hunt you down. If an assignment is due while you are absent, it will be due the day you return. If an assignment is given while you are absent you will have the amount of days you were absent to get the work completed, only for excused absences. Please make sure to get bell work questions that were missed during the absence from the person next to you. If a test or lab is missed it is your responsibility to make arranges with me to make it up during lunch or after school. Some labs may be replaced with a make-up assignment, instead of completing the actual lab that was missed. Unexcused absences will receive a zero for tests and assignments missed because of the absence. If you were swept, the work should be picked up before the end of the day. |
