Attendance: Since full and active participation is
essential to success in this course, full attendance is required. School Policy will be strictly adhered to
regarding tardies and unexcused absences. Grading: Points
will be assessed on all essays and all other classroom assignments and
activities. Grading Scale: A=100-90%,
B=89-80%, C=79-70%, D=69-60%. F=59-0% Classroom Assignments: · Refer to Student Handbook for policy on
making up work from excused absences. · Classroom assignments, daily or long term
projects, are due on the due date—please submit assignments on-line to me at
nbrown@qcusd.org when absences are unavoidable, or contact me at
480-987-5900, ext 5402 to make other arrangements for the assignment in
question. Classroom
Management Philosophy: The teacher should be
allowed to teach—the students should be allowed to learn. Anything that interferes with this
philosophy will be handled accordingly. Behavior Plan: 1st Step— Verbal Warning 2nd Step—Next verbal warning and documentation;
possible detention 3rd Step—Final warning and a call to parent;
Referral to Administration ** A student
will be removed from the class and given an administrative referral if he/she
continues to disrupt the learning environment after consequent warnings! SUPPLIES: 1. 3X5 note cards for
research papers & vocabulary words
2. Lined 3 hole paper 3. #2 pencils 4. Pens (blue or black ink
only) 5. A large 3 ring binder 6. Flash drive for storing
research for projects |
