Classroom Management
Plan: All students are required to participate
and dress out on a daily basis. Failure to participate will result in a
deduction of three points. Each no dress is a loss of 25 points each day. Students will be given two free non-dresses
for the semester. After the fourth non-dress (This doesn’t count the two
non-dress days) the student fails the semester and will be placed in a study
hall with no credit given for the class. A poor attitude towards a teacher,
classmate, or towards the class in general will result in deduction of points.
Students will be able to makeup two of their no-dresses for half credit at the
discretion of the teacher. If a student is not playing cooperatively, the
student may be asked to sit down and points may be deducted from their grade.
Absences and Tardies: For each unexcused absence a deduction of five points will be taken from the student’s grade. (It’s hard to make up a day missed.) Unexcused absences cannot be made up. Everything you miss due to an illness or for other excused absences MUST be made up at the discretion of the teacher. Three unexcused tardies will also result in one unexcused absence
Course Consequences:
“If student chooses to break a rule”.
First Offense: Warning/Conference with the Student.Written Documentation
Second Offense: Notification of Parents/Guardian Department/Teacher Consequence
Third Offense: Conference/Meeting with Parents/Guardian. Department/Teacher Consequence
Fourth Offense: Written Referral/Parent Contact
Severe Offense: Security will remove student immediately.
Administrator Conference
Note: All electronics will be confiscated by the teacher and returned at the end of the day.
Medical Excuses:
In order to be excused if you are unable to participate fully in physical education, due to medical reasons, you are required to provide:
· A note from your parent or guardian, including phone number- you must dress out (Limit two days)
·
A note from a physician which indicates the extent
of your limitation- (you must dress out
unless specified by the physician)
·
