Education Professions is a course designed to introduce high school students to the field of education. This course will offer the student an opportunity for self-exploration and reflection, as well as a chance to explore-learning styles outside of their own. In addition, they will be given the opportunity to explore a variety of teaching styles, including accommodations related to special education. Some of their learning will take place through fieldwork, offering the students first hand experience to apply their learned knowledge and skills in a live classroom setting. This course will also allow students to explore the history of education in Arizona and the United States as a whole as well as expose them to some of the post-secondary teaching opportunities available to them. |
