DECA

What is DECA?

DECA, founded in 1947, is an association of marketing students whose program of activities develops leaders in marketing and management. The four focal points of DECA are professional understanding, community service, social intelligence, and leadership development. Queen Creek's DECA club is only four years old, but we already had two State Officers! Membership dues for DECA are included in Mkt I & II class fees. Any student may join the DECA club for a $12 membership fee.

DECA activities are an integral part of the Marketing curriculum. Thought the school year, students have opportunities to participate in various community service project. During the fall semester, DECA activities are focused on leadership development. Spring semester focuses on competition so DECA students may showcase the professional skills and knowledge they have attained. There will be several opportunities to attend leadership conference; information on upcoming DECA event will be sent home periodically through the school year.

Participation in DECA provides a student with many opportunities for scholarships at the local, state, and national level.
