In the first semester, students will learn about the technology used in industry. Computer operated tools will be used to create some projects like lamps, small boxes etc. Students will be introduced to transportation, environmental, construction, architectural, and computer technology and how they are used in the world today. Students will explore career research and possible career choices based on technology. During the second semester, students will be introduced to several phases of construction technology. Through projects like building storage sheds and working through community programs like Habitat for Humanity, students will get hands on experience. Electrical circuitry, plumbing, drywall, cabinetry, and other trade skills will be learned in a safe lab environment. We will use the technology of the CNC router and Laser Engraver to create cabinet and other personal projects. |
