In this class, students will explore principles and elements of design as related to clothing and home furnishings. Students will also sample careers in the fashion and interior design industry. Upon completion of this course, students will be prepared to enter either Fashion I or Interior Design I. |

The fashion course prepares students for career in fashion design. The curriculum stimulates creative expression in all aspects of fashion design, including fashion sketching, creative design, and constructing garments. Students will understand the importance of communication and critical thinking and the effect they have on this industry. The course is structured to challenge and inspire students. |

Interior Design
The Interior design course furthers the student’s knowledge and skills in the area or Interior design. Students will gain a deeper understanding of color, principles and elements of design as related to home furnishings, space planning and architecture.
