Things we will begin
learning about in the Music Room this
Quarter: Classroom
procedures, different voices (whispering, singing, speaking), proper singing,
tapping to the beat, movement and games, playing instruments, reading music,
listening to a variety of styles of music, music history, composers, creating
music, composing music and feelings associated with music. Of course, we incorporate many academic skills
(reading, writing, mathematics, geography, history, etc.) in class as well as
character issues (attentive listening, respect, responsibility etc.). |

A Night of Talent We will be having some fantastic performances this
year. Many of these productions will
showcase what we have learned in our classes.
The students will be singing, playing instruments, moving and speaking
on stage. Check it out! Here are the performance dates: 2nd grade:
