The Queen Creek Unified School District Curriculum Department is committed to providing a quality educational experience for all students.

Our curriculum has been aligned to the state standards/Common Core Curriculum and provides continuity with skills from kindergarten through high school. To maximize student achievement, our district teachers focus on the state standards. We are currently phasing in the second phase of implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). These high-quality standards, adopted by Arizona along with 48 other states, are part of a national movement toward providing a common rigorous and relevant education to children across the United States. Designed to develop twenty-first century globally competitive students, the CCSS were carefully constructed using evidence-based research to create college and career ready students upon high school graduation.

All of our schools are designated as “A” or “B” by the state. We are focused on each student’s learning, and we have implemented a student testing system which provides data for teachers to drive instruction.

The goal of QCUSD Curriculum and Instruction Department is to increase student achievement through the implementation of a rigorous and relevant curriculum. The identification of effective instructional strategies that challenge all students and maximize their potential is key to their success thus staff development will focus on those strategies.
