PTO Executive Meeting

March 6, 2007

 

Members Present : Principal Bill Schultz, Kristen Dawson, Sheryl Grothe, Quincy Nelson, Teresa McQuade, Seneca Johnson, Kris Wells, Sharon Erwin, Michelle Hunt, and Mary Elrod

 

Agenda :

1. Box Tops

2. PTO camera purchase

6. Catering for teacher's late night conferences

7. Family Fun Night

 

Meeting :

1. Due date for box tops is 3/31/07 . Kristen requested some assistance with cutting the labels and box tops.

 

2. PTO camera “died”. Board approved new camera purchase with 4 year warranty for $286.08.

 

3. Door Deco contest: classroom with the best door (judged by front office) will win flip flop and surfboard necklaces. Board approved additional $75 for Sheryl's prizes and decorations. Student Council will purchase 250 leis. They will be handed out at Family Fun Night on a first come first serve basis.

 

4. Students that have met their AR goal have earned snow cones for tomorrow. Research will go into the cost of a mobile zoo for year end incentives.

 

5. Current balance: $8,704. Board approved to reimburse Kris Wells $160 for a software upgrade to do yearbook work.

 

6. Bacci's is catering dinner for the teacher's late night conferences. For Teacher appreciation week, the board approved a budget of $500 for Sharon .

 

7. Board approved a $700 budget for the PTO contribution (food, drinks, and paper products). PTO will charge $2.50 for a pizza meal. Projected cost: pizza $450 and $200 for drinks and paper products.
