Employment opportunities with the Transportation Department are specialized jobs and it takes a special people to fill every
position. This is a team dedicated to the welfare
of the students of the Queen Creek Unified School District. |

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS—IMMEDIATE
POSITIONS AVAILABLE A school bus
driver must be 21 years of age, be certified by the Department of Public Safety, have a current
CDL with Passenger Endorsement and be able to pass a drug screening ,
background and fingerprint check. A driver will be responsible for a route with a large
number of students and the routes will consist of Middle School/High School
and Elementary School . They must
establish and maintain a good rapport with employees, students and the
community. The driver will observe all mandatory safety
regulations for school buses, perform pre-trip checks, keep the bus clean and
keep to assigned schedules. They must
have knowledge of emergency procedures, first aid ,CPR and conduct bus safety
and evacuation drills. |

GENERAL
REQUIREMENTS
A special needs aide must be able to work with children with varying physical or mental
challenges. The aide will assist the children
with walkers and wheelchairs and will be responsible for any medications
while the student is in the bus. An aide must have general knowledge
of first aid, CPR and emergency evacuation procedures. The aide will assist with loading and
unloading of bus. Patience is the number one
requirement of this position. |

GENERAL
REQUIREMENTS A candidate for this position must have
experience in the operation and repair
of District vehicles and school buses with diesel
engines. They must be able to address
major repair problems on site and within a specified
period of time. The mechanic must have
a school bus drivers certification and be flexible
in their working hours. Substitute driving on a scheduled route may be necessary therefore,
they must have general knowledge of first aid, CPR and emergency and
disciplinarian procedures. |

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS A bus monitor will ride
randomly selected routes as directed by the Transportation Supervisor. It will be the monitors responsibility to
observe and maintain order and
discipline of the students when they are on
the bus. The monitor will see to it
that the passengers abide by the rules established by the District and
the Department of Public Safety for riding a School Bus. The monitor will report
undisciplined students to the proper authority and fill out required
forms. They will observe all mandatory
safety regulations for school buses, have a general knowledge of first aid ,
CPR and emergency procedures. |
