Dear Parents and Students,

I am so pleased to welcome you to the 2008-2009 school year at Queen Creek Middle School, Home of the Wildcats. The administration, faculty and staff are committed to the highest level of education possible for the students. Our commitment is to see that all students are prepared for the next level of education. Our motto this year is to, “Go the Distance”. Our students, faculty and staff have embraced this motto to meet the goal and vision of our school.

Each student will participate in the campus wide “Personal Responsibility in Daily Effort Program” (P.R.I.D.E.) where the main goal is to build and reinforce personal responsibility in each student. Our students also exhibit daily the traits of “Character Counts” which includes Responsibility, Trustworthiness, Caring, Citizenship, Fairness, and Respect.

We strongly believe it is important to have good communication between parents and staff and we will strive to accomplish that goal. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, or concerns. As well as, we are always in need of volunteers to assist our students in succeeding at their endeavors. I look forward to meeting each of you and working with you throughout the year. It is my greatest pleasure to see your students’ everyday and to watch them grow both academically and personally.

Attention All Intel EmployeesAttention All Intel Employees (QCMS Welcomes all Intel Employees to Volunteer)
The Intel Involved Matching Grant Program, established by the Intel Foundation, encourages eligible Intel employees to participate in community service activities worldwide. All volunteer activities in schools are eligible for a matching grant as long as they benefit the school or the students. Activities like mentoring, tutoring, teaching and other classroom-based activities as well as coaching, chaperoning field trips, refereeing, and volunteering for after school programs or extracurricular activities are eligible for a matching grant. For every 20 hours, Intel will donate $200.

Middle School IncidentNovember 14, 2008
Dear Parents and Community Members,
We discovered a potentially serious incident at Queen Creek Middle School today. Students reported that another student brought highly flammable material to school. The item was immediately confiscated and turned over to local law enforcement who determined that no students or staff were in imminent danger.
District officials acted promptly to secure the situation and are fully cooperating with law enforcement concerning the matter.
The district will continue its best efforts in closely monitoring student conduct for the safety of all students.
