Kindergarten The Kindergarten classes have been singing and dancing all month long in order to be ready for our Kindergarten Program this month. We all know how to spell the color “red”, do the Montherana, say our vowels, and can tell you all about coins…as all of you who saw our performance will agree. We have spent some time this month also learning about plants and how to count money. First grade…here we come! Mrs. Cummins, Mrs. Strickland, Mrs. Okonowski and Mrs. Rutherford |

First Grade The “fantastic” 1st graders can’t believe that this year has come and gone so fast. It is already May and we have only few more days to go. We have been so busy this month with many fun activities. We have planted seeds in our classrooms and watched them grow into plants. We have had fun learning and doing activities about the lifecycle of a frog. We have also researched information about different animals and have written some wonderful reports. We have made some very interesting habitats and posters about our animals and then presented our reports to our classmates. So as you can see we have been very busy this last month. We have learned so much in 1st grade we are already to be big 2nd graders. We have had a very exciting 1st grade year. Have a great fun summer and keep reading. Mrs. Canter, Ms. Bina, Mrs. Schiermyer and Mrs. Kaesler |

Second Grade We have had a fantastic year with the second graders. We hope that they have learned a great deal and are prepared for third grade. Just because the kids are not in school doesn’t mean the learning has to stop. There are many things that can be done at home to help your child over the summer. Study the math facts Read with your child Keep a journal Most importantly…have FUN!!! Ms. Barnhart, Mrs. Self, Ms. Matthews and Mrs. Moore |

Third Grade The third grade would like to thank all of our parents for their generous support this year. We have truly enjoyed working with your children and watching them progress. Please encourage your child to read this summer. It is an excellent response to the universal complaint “I’m bored!” Have a great summer and thanks again. Mr. Kaesler, Mrs. Rader, Mr. Jeffers and Mr. Cardenas |

Fourth Grade Fourth grade had a blast at Skateland! We learned about Newton’s Laws of Motion before we went skating. We then spent the next 2 hours enjoying the rink all to ourselves. There were several who had never been skating before, but they had fun learning how to stay on their feet! Fourth grade went by so fast and we can’t believe it is already over. We had so much fun and learned so much! Thank you for all your help and support this year. We will miss all of our fourth graders next year! Ms. King, Mrs. McDonald and Ms. Jones |

Fifth Grade WE MADE IT! Another year has come and gone. We had a successful field trip to Junior Achievement BizTown. It taught them about economics and responsibility as adults. They learned to write checks, balance a check register, and learned how to run a business. We have so much coming up in the next few weeks. We will test our toothpick bridges on the 19th and will be going on our bowling field trip on the 26th. Don’t forget that Wednesday, May 20th is the last day to take AR quizzes. We have had an awesome year and have enjoyed teaching all of our students. We appreciate our students’ hard work and the support of all of our parents! Thank you! Mrs. Smith, Mr. Thalke and Mrs. Bernier |
