We cover a wide variety of math concepts in second grade. We will be using our Scott Foresman math series daily to cover all of the math standards we need to learn. Students will have math homework every night except Friday or unless I make a change. Just as it is in reading, everyone learns math at their own pace. Because of this some students may work ahead at times while others will work with me in small groups to reinforce math concepts. A large part of our math curriculum focuses on addition and subtraction. Students should have a standard set of math flash cards that they can practice on a regular basis.
