Hello and welcome to the 2009-10 school year! My name is Carrie Keyes and this will be my 5th year teaching. I’m originally from the suburbs of Chicago and moved to Arizona in 2001 to attend ASU. I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education in 2004. I’ve spent my entire teaching career with the Queen Creek School District. I student taught at Queen Creek Elementary where I was then hired on to teach 3rd grade. I taught 2 years of 3rd grade before moving over to Pickett where I have taught 2nd grade for the past two school years. I enjoy the fast pace and challenges that teaching brings me every day. Every class and every year is so different from the previous one. I’m excited to see what this year brings! When I’m not teaching I like to spend my time with my husband and 18 month old son, write, read, watch sports and scrapbook! I’m a huge animal lover and share my house with two dogs and a cat.  We keep very busy in the Keyes house!

         I’m excited to get to know you as we work together to help your children grow into knowledgeable, inquisitive third graders! I welcome any suggestions or volunteer help.
