Spelling: Due to a short week there will be no spelling list. We will resume after the break. Mathematics: We will be finishing chapter 3 next week. The lessons will be strategies to add quicker and correctly such as double plus 1, missing addends, and using these strategies to solve story problems. Reading: We will be reviewing short a words, sight words, main idea and details, story structure, and fantasy and realism. The students will be tested on each of these skills as well. PLEASE READ AT HOME DAILY. THIS IS ESSENTIAL IN HELPING YOUR CHILD LEARN TO BE A STRONGER READER. TO HELP WITH ENCOURAGING READING, WE WILL BEGIN THE BOOK-IT PROGRAM. I WILL BE SENDING ALONG INFORMATION AT A LATER DATE. THIS TAKES NO EXTRA EFFORT ON YOUR PART-JUST TO READ WITH YOUR CHILD. The Fall Festival is on October 24th from 4 to 7 in the evening. I am in need of colored hair spray for the event. If you can donate a can or two that would be great! Thanks for your help! |
